As part of the publications of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies/Jordan, and in cooperation with the Jordan Foundation for Research and Information, Issue 112 of the Journal of Middle Eastern Studies was published in the summer of 2025. It addressed various current topics and issues in the Arab world and the Middle East. Issue 112 of the Journal included an editorial entitled "Political and Social Stability in the Modern Arab State." It also contained three peer-reviewed studies. The first, titled "Dimensions and Implications of the Transformation in Syria: A Reading of the Domestic and Regional Implications," attempts to anticipate the future of the new political system in Syria, analyze the domestic and regional repercussions of the political transformation, understand the impact of the Syrian transformations on Palestinian factions and the Palestinian cause, identify the challenges and opportunities facing the new Syrian political system, highlight the importance of transitional justice in the post-conflict phase, and assess the future of the relationship between Syria and Israel in light of these transformations. The second study, "Israeli Plans to Annex Areas of the Occupied West Bank and Their Implications," examined the implications of Israeli annexation plans, if implemented, for the security, humanitarian, economic, and political situations in Palestine and the region. It also discussed these plans and their relationship to the announcement made by US President Donald Trump on January 28, 2020, dubbed the "Deal of the Century." The study, "Transformations in the Regional Environment and Their Implications for the Arab World," presented a precise vision of how the Arab world can achieve international status and role through its awareness of the nature of regional relations and their transformations, and the mechanisms for dealing with them by capitalizing on their opportunities and overcoming their challenges. The Journal also included eight scholarly articles in the Analyses and Reports section. "The Crisis in the Relationship between the Government and the Islamic Movement in Jordan 2025," " Developments in the Syrian Scene After the Fall of the Assad Regime and Its Domestic and Regional Implications," "The Palestinian Political Horizon and Future Options in Light of the War on the Gaza Strip," "Transformations in Syria 2024/2025: Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects," "Jordanian Humanitarian and Medical Relief to the Gaza Strip During the Israeli Genocidal War," "The Arab Vision Crisis to Confront the Israel Annexation and Transfer Policies," "The Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood in Gaza: Sequence of Events 11/01/2024 - 18/01/2025," and "A Critical Review of "Palestine and the International Criminal Court"." The issue concludes with a bibliography on "Political and Social Stability in the Arab World 2015-2025," including Arabic and English references. The Journal of Middle Eastern Studies is a refereed quarterly journal that specializes in short-term transformations that long-term studies and research cannot adequately cover. (112) issues have been published up to the summer of 2025, and this latest issue is (236) pages long, and its price is (3 JD) inside Jordan, and ($6) outside Jordan.
