It is based on previous scientific knowledge. According to clear objectives, the research provides a theoretical framework, a conceptual framework, and a specific scientific methodology. The research problem is accurately defined, and the research hypotheses are presented. The research also addresses the independent and dependent factors affecting the phenomenon under study to produce new qualitative knowledge and develop a more comprehensive and profound understanding. It also outlines potential transformations of the phenomenon's future, explores new scientific fields regarding the phenomenon, and opens scientific horizons for research on the subject of study with recommendations. Moreover, the research answers the research questions and proves or denies the hypothesis. The research is subject to internationally recognized scientific review to be accepted for publication in the Journal. The research requires multiple skills from the researcher based on scientific expertise, accurate observation, investigation, deduction, experimentation, qualitative or quantitative analysis, and inference. The size of the research published in the Journal usually ranges between 5500-7500 words.

2. Study

The Study section addresses phenomena or topics related to the Arab world and the Middle East. It also considers regional and international issues related to the problems of the Middle East. It investigates and discusses the phenomena and presents possibilities for the most prominent future transformations of the phenomenon or topic presented and the problem under study. Studies are based on the researcher's previous scientific knowledge and experience in the subject and include collecting information from multiple sources and analyzing it using a scientific and critical methodology. Studies contribute to describing phenomena and topics using a well-known scientific approach. They include a statement of the study's objectives, specific hypotheses, and questions the study answers. Studies necessarily provide the results of their analysis and investigation in the concussion. It would contribute to achieving a more profound understanding and broader analysis. It delves into the components, the influential factors, and the repercussions of its historical movement in various dimensions. The study is subject to internationally recognized scientific review until it is accepted for publication in the Journal. Strategic analysis is a complex scientific and intellectual effort that relies on a specialized scientific methodology. The analysis lies between the research/study and the report. It is more in-depth than a report and less extensive than a study and research. The analysis relies on its scientific sources, previous reports and studies, and the researcher's scientific experience in its field. Strategic analysis is characterized by addressing the topic under study with a deep analysis with a strategic dimension that leads to objective results. These results are political, economic, intellectual, cultural, strategic, or social, and they are used to develop conclusions and inferences and reach a shared understanding and strategic vision of the phenomenon or topic under analysis. It provides specific recommendations that help decision-makers formulate public policies and reconsider decisions. It requires the analyst to use deep scientific and analytical techniques beyond the superficial description of the phenomenon or topic under analysis. The strategic analysis in the Middle East Studies Journal focuses on addressing modern and emerging phenomena or issues. It provides a strategic analytical reading that contributes to understanding the phenomenon or topic. It anticipates the phenomenon's possible transformations in the near term. 4. Report

Reports in the Journal are a scientific method for collecting the required information and data, organizing them, and displaying them easily to the readers. They address a transformation in a specific phenomenon or monitor political, social, or economic events and programs at a local, regional, or international level in a focused, systematic manner. The report relies on data, statements, statistics, and related reports as its sources, scientific references, and the writer's experience and relationship with the topic. It seeks to transform data and statistics into information for the reader. The report presents recommendations and proposals that serve public policies and interests locally, regionally, or internationally. The report is subject to internationally recognized scientific editing until it is accepted for publication in the Journal. The size of the reports published in the Journal usually ranges between 2000 and 3000 words.

5. Chronology

Chronology is the abstract monitoring of a phenomenon's events and narrating them chronologically within the phenomenon's sequence. It starts from the previous to the recent. Chronology aims to present events according to the order of their occurrence and in successive periods based on a fixed daily, weekly, monthly, or annual scale. It usually focuses on new events and changes and is at most two previous years of the Journal's publication. Chronology does not have a specific size in terms of words or pages. When events accumulate and increase in size significantly, they are divided into stages or stations and published in successive parts in more than one issue of the Journal if necessary. Chronology is subject to the internationally recognized scientific review until it is accepted for publication in the Journal.

6. Bibliographic File

he bibliographic file lists scientific sources and references representing scientific and intellectual production published on a specific topic. The file considers Arabic and English language publications from books, periodicals, scientific reports, published and unpublished university theses, and private documents during specific previous years, at most ten years. The file also includes the latest books published on the subject under study in Arabic and English during the previous five years. The bibliographic file aims to serve researchers in its topic. The bibliographic file is subject to the internationally recognized scientific review until it is accepted for publication in the Journal.

7. Issue Interview

It is an intellectual and scientific interview that addresses a phenomenon, issue, or transformation. The interview presents the opinions of experts and summaries of their visions. The interviews are conducted with figures who are intellectually and scientifically appropriate to the subject of the interview. They aim to provide some visions and results of experience in the issue. The interview must achieve scientific weight and objective coherence that serves its subject and issue scientifically and intellectually. The issue interview can take several forms after selecting one or more local, regional, or international figures. It can be conducted in person or via Zoom and may also be performed in writing. Interviews with experts on the same topic or issue may be conducted. Each interview may be published in a separate issue of the Journal, together in succession, or with a comprehensive editorial presentation of all in one issue. The interview for the issue is subject to internationally recognized scientific editing and review until it is accepted for publication in the Journal.

8. Issue Seminar

A working paper suggests the title and thematic components of the seminar. It includes the idea of ​​the seminar, its objectives, themes, and the suggested participants who are specialists in the seminar field. The attendees are 4-6 researchers, academics, and experts. The Journal's seminars aim to illuminate aspects of the issue or problem. They aim to help researchers and readers crystallize their research directions and studies for scientific publication or in the fields of studies and master's or doctoral theses. The seminar is held in one session, and a detailed report is prepared. This report is scientifically edited for publication in the Journal.

9. Issue File

The issue file includes various scientific materials (between 3 and 5) from scientific reports, in-depth analyses, interviews, statistics, or chronology. It is specially prepared to provide background and information for an event with strategic dimensions in the Journal's areas of interest. It usually focuses on an event, phenomenon, or significant issue at the local, regional, or global levels with a presence or new transformation and variables up to three months before the issue publication. The issue file is subject to internationally recognized scientific editing and review until approved for publication in the Journal.
