The study focuses on the Palestinian issue's challenges due to division and normalization and the consequences of the Al-Aqsa Flood conflict. It explores the reasons for the Palestinian issue's absence from the general Arab and international political scene, with a particular emphasis on the impact of Palestinian division and Arab normalization in relations with Israel.
The study aims to provide a way forward for the Palestinian issue in the aftermath of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and subsequent Israeli aggression on Gaza. It identifies the Palestinian issue's principal threats and challenges and suggests a possible outcome. The study posits that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation has presented the Palestinian issue with a new reality at a time when it had taken on a marginal Arab and international dimension. The operation highlighted the dangers posed by Palestinian division and Arab normalization with Israel on the issue of Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people.
The study is structured around four main themes: the Palestinian issue in light of division and conflict, the repercussions of normalization on the Palestinian issue, the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and its impact, and the consequences of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and possible future scenarios.
The study concludes that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Palestinian resistance in October 2023 has demonstrated the fragility of Israeli security and military power, dealt a severe blow to the Zionist project, and provided the Palestinian cause with a new reality. However, the Israeli war in Gaza caused significant damage and requires a unified Palestinian national state that can overcome division and work towards achieving the goals of the Palestinian national project. These goals include the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, the liberation of their land, the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of refugees.
