Trends in American Positions Regarding the Establishment of an Independent Palestinian State

This study examines the policies and systematic strategies of the United States regarding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. It also investigates its impact on the nature of the Arab-Israeli conflict, taking into consideration the influence of the Jewish lobby in this regard. The study also examines the role of the decision-making circles, the settlements, conferences, and agreements concluded between the Palestinian-Arab and Israeli sides under American auspices in this regard.
The study discusses the hypothesis that American decision-makers have demonstrated a consistent commitment to protecting Israel and obstructing Palestinian statehood. The study clarifies that the US Middle Eastern Policy has diluted this issue over time.
Moreover, the study analyzes the motivations behind the ideas and proposals of successive US administrations regarding Palestinian statehood or a two-state solution.
The study finds that the US discussions, proposals, plans, and promises to the Arab states have not materialized regarding the Palestinian state.
The study concludes that the effectiveness of US policy regarding the Palestinian state is linked to self-serving, pragmatic, and biased US positions that continue to favor the Israeli approach and vision regarding this issue.
The many US proposals thus fail to produce a just peace in accordance with international legal standards, to support the stability of the Middle East, and to secure global peace and security as well, and provide justice for the Palestinian people.
