This report reviews the Middle East Studies Center panel discussions titled "Challenges Facing the Twentieth House of Representatives in Jordan 2024-2028," on April 11, 2024, in Amman. Numerous parliamentarians, experts, politicians, and political party leaders participated in the panel.
The participants explored the most critical internal and external challenges facing the twentieth House of Representatives. These challenges entail the House's ability to fulfill its constitutional role under the Jordanian Constitution and the capacity of party blocs to articulate their electoral programs that garnered public support.
In addition to internal challenges, several external issues were identified, such as Israeli expansionist aspirations toward Jordan and the broader region.
