The ninety’s period has witnessed a new start of the European
Union towards the Middle East, during the conference which was
held in Barcelona on November 1995. Since the European Union,
which was taken away from the Middle East project, which was
supported by USA and Israel, tried to develop its relations with
Arab States through the Partnership Project between Europe and
the Levant States, in order to be able to play a role in the
region. And through this partnership, the Palestinian Authority
has get benefit, because it is one of the partners, from the
European support to its issue on the economic level and
political level. Thus the European Union has admitted the
Palestinian Authority and that Palestinians have their
independent state which gives them the legality to go into an
agreement which brings them benefits to support their issue and
make them Middle Eastern State which is connected to the
European System to utilize from its developmental aims that will
raise the income level of the Palestinians and the new economic
system for the new born state. By: Dr. Ahmad Se’ed Nofal. |
